Thalassemia is a congenital health condition, prevalent across Sri Lanka; especially in the North Western Province. UA was able to provide invaluable support towards controlling this severe blood disorder by conducting thalassemia awareness and prevention campaigns across the country.
Extended support and collaborative efforts received from National Thalassemia Centre – Kurunegala along with the Hemal’s Adolescent & Adult Thalassemia Care has made it possible to conduct the awareness sessions across the country.
