Our vision project continues to reduce the number of persons suffering from preventable blindness and other vision problems through the sponsorship of cataract surgeries and spectacle donations. From April  to beginning August 2016, eye camps were conducted in Imbulgoda, Mawanella, Suwanetha Hospital, Kalutara, Kimbulapitiya, Beruwala, and Kegalle. While school screening programme was conducted in 29 schools in the Colombo district. Since the school screening programme started in November 2014,  19,051 school children have had their eyesight tested.

As at end July 2016, the cumulative total of cataract operations carried out under the Project since its launch in 2004 is 11,191. In addition to carrying out cataract surgeries, spectacles too have been donated, with 5,643 reading glasses and prescription spectacles being provided to adults and children.
