John Keells Foundation conducted its 2nd phase of the Science Day Program in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Association for the Advancement of Science in Vavuniya on the 28th of June 2016. This three year program is conducted in the hopes of increasing curiosity towards science and technology. The program was held in Gamini Maha Vidyalaya where more than 150 students attended from a number of schools in the Vavuniya district. They engaged in several interactive learning sessions which included carrying out a chemistry practical, understanding how chromosomes are made using model DNA and watching inspiring videos about how the internet and science can be used to innovate and solve problems.
