Kala Pola 2010 came alive on Sunday, 21st February 2010 on the sidewalks of Ananda Coomaraswamy Mawatha, Colombo and was ceremonially inaugurated by H.E. Ashok K. Kantha, High Commissioner of India in Sri Lanka. Over 302 artists and sculptors displayed their creativity on canvas and other media to an increasingly appreciative clientele in a fun-filled atmosphere of music, refreshments and entertainment, accounting for estimated total sales of Rs. 5 million. The event drew over 4000 visitors and was supported by 30 volunteers from the John Keells Group.
