John Keells Holdings through its CSR entity John Keells Foundation contributed towards the sponsorship of the construction of AYATI’s Supported Employment Unit focused on steering the employment/vocation related goals of children with disabilities.

AYATI, the national center of excellence for children with disabilities is located at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Kelaniya based in Ragama. ‘Ayati’, meaning ‘hope’ in Sanskrit-a center of excellence for children with disabilities- will provide numerous facilities required to help children with disabilities achieve their maximum potential and become fully integrated into society.

Operating a committed rehabilitation on a National level, the centre will work towards combating social stigma to promote acceptance of children with disabilities.
