Following a request from the Crystal Martin Head Quarters, HIV and AIDS awareness sessions were conducted for the factory workers in Nittambuwa and Katunayake. Along with our HIV and AIDS Master Trainer, employees were also introduced to an HIV positive person who shared her experience of living with HIV and AIDS in Sri Lanka including the stigma and discrimination she has experienced, truly underlining the importance of such awareness in the community for not only prevention and treatment but for the well-being of HIV positive persons. A live audience of 92 at Katunayake, and 79 at Nittambuwa were present though the session was also broadcasted on their PA systems reaching another 1,000 persons in each factory.
