The Gratiaen Trust Jaffna Outreach Program 2020 in association with JKF was held at the University of Jaffna on 16th February 2020. The program consisted of a creative writing workshop titled ‘Point of View’ led by internationally acclaimed author Shyam Selvadurai benefiting 19 participants. A performance of ‘Blowhards: Tea Coffee’, a short play written by the 2019 Gratiaen Prize winner Arun Welendawe Prematilleke was held for approximately 100 participants comprising students and the general public. There was much appreciation expressed by the audience that such an event was held in Jaffna. Both programs were developed in collaboration with the Department of Linguistics and English of the University of Jaffna.
